“If you loved me you’d think this was cute”!

One of the things I like the most is to lose myself in a bookstore and read aimlessly, choosing something that amuse or excites me, on impulse. In my last foray I found a very funny book that made me laugh at the first page turn.
The book is written and illustrated by Nick Galifianakis (yup, he’s Zach Galifianakis’s cousin) and the book is called “If You Loved Me, You’d Think This Was Cute” and has among other gems this one I chose to share here with you. The subtitle is equally brilliant “Uncomfortably True Cartoons About You” and the book is full of inconvenient truths or at least “uncomfortable” common situations.

This particular cartoon is a classic of female “friendships”. Who has never had a most devoted friend and then realized that was only because … she had not yet found a “significant other”?
I’m not the hold grudges type but I strongly agree with Kant when he wrote “friendship is like coffee, never once cool back the original flavor, even hot.”
Go Nick, keep hitting the sensitive spot!
(You can find this book at a better price than I did on Amazon)

Nick Galifianakis!
